What are oral probiotics? How do they differ from other probiotics?

Most probiotics are targeted towards the gut and digestive tract. Throat probiotics such as BLIS K12™ target the mouth and throat, helping to protect the gateway to the body. They colonise the mouth and throat with good bacteria, helping to crowd out bad bacteria.

Can I continue using my usual gut probiotics if I’m using BLIS PROBIOTICS?

Yes. BLIS PROBIOTICS work in a different part of the body – they target the throat and mouth, rather than the gut.

Can BLIS PROBIOTICS be taken while taking antibiotics?

We do not recommend taking BLIS PROBIOTICS at the same time as antibiotics, as the antibiotics may kill off the good bacteria. However, BLIS PROBIOTICS may be suitable as a source of good bacteria for the mouth and throat, after you have completed the full course of antibiotics. We recommend speaking to your health professional for further advice.
